Pathfinder 2e FAQ

What is Pathfinder 2e?

Pathfinder Second Edition is published by Paizo and is one of the most popular alternatives to D&D. It's known for its depth — the three-action economy, detailed character building with feats at nearly every level, and a heavy emphasis on tactical combat. If you want more mechanical crunch than D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e is usually the recommendation.

What Pathfinder 2e products does Minva carry?

We have a Pathfinder 2e minimal character sheet, plus a range of system-agnostic products — campaign journals, session note pads, dungeon maps, dice accessories — that work just as well for Pathfinder as they do for any other TTRPG.

Do the free generators work for Pathfinder 2e?

Yes. The loot generator, shop generator, name generator, and encounter calculator are all system-flexible. Pathfinder 2e has different XP and economy numbers, but the underlying outputs — loot tables, NPC names, shop inventories, location names — are game-agnostic and useful at any table.

How is Pathfinder 2e different from D&D 5e?

The three-action economy is the biggest mechanical difference — instead of a move action and an action, every character gets three actions per turn to spend however they want. Pathfinder also has far more feats (you pick one almost every level), more detailed skill rules, and a steeper but rewarding learning curve. It rewards players who like digging into the mechanics.

Is the Pathfinder 2e character sheet compatible with the Remaster?

Our minimal character sheet is designed to be compatible with both the original Core Rulebook and the Remaster (Player Core / GM Core). The core attributes, skill layout, and tracking sections are the same across both editions.

What system-agnostic TTRPG products work for Pathfinder?

Any journal, session note pad, dungeon map, dice tower, or general accessory works across systems. Pathfinder players use campaign journals for worldbuilding and session recaps, initiative trackers for the 3-action combat, and dungeon maps for hex crawls and exploration mode.
